
VYPE: What grade are you in this year, how long have you been playing and what
position do you play?
Journey Arnall: I am a Junior playing 1st base. I started playing softball from a pretty young age, with Neosho’s tee ball league
VYPE: What has been the highlight moment of your career?
JA: back-to-back conference championships.
VYPE: What does it mean to you to represent your school and community when you play?
JA: It’s a way to show pride in where I come from. I try to work hard, support my teammates, and set a good example so that people know we care about our team and school.
VYPE: Can you share a highlight or memorable moment from last season?
JA: A memorable moment from last season was beating Joplin in the district game after losing to them twice during the regular season.
VYPE: How would you describe the team’s chemistry this season?
JA: Very strong, we all have agreed that we want to find success and to achieve success we must be able to not only work together but strive to make each one of us better in some way every single day we get to practice together.
VYPE: Who do you look up to as a role model, both on and off the field?
JA: I look up to my coaches and older teammates who lead by example and work hard every day for team to be better. I look up to my mom for her guidance, support, and the way she handles challenges with strength and determination. She inspires me to work hard, stay focused, and always try to be my best in everything I do.
Vype: What teacher has had the biggest impact on your life? How?
JA: Mr. Wallace, he’s always been supportive and encouraging, pushing me to do my best both in and out of the classroom. He’s helped me develop my leadership skills, stay focused on my goals, and believe in myself, and his guidance has made a big difference in how I approach challenges and opportunities.
VYPE: What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of sports?
JA: I am involved in FBLA, FCS, and Choraleers (show choir). Going to St. Louis Cardinals games. Spending time with friends and traveling.
VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
JA: After Highschool I plan to continue my softball career in college while studying to be a Chiropractor. My goal is to open my own Chiropractic practice with focusing on athletes.
