Grain Valley’s Brody Jones – Football Spotlight – Presented by Shelter Insurance

Brody Jones – Grain Valley

Grain Valley’s defense has leaned on experience and stability, and few players embody that more than senior defensive back Brody Jones. A three-year starter and all-conference performer, Jones has been a constant presence in the Eagles’ secondary, matching up with top receivers while also providing sure tackling and leadership on the back end.

Head coach David Allie summed up his impact in his nomination. “Brody has been a three-year starter and all-conference performer for us. He has been one of our leading tacklers all season and currently has 81 tackles (57 solo, 3 for loss), 4 Pass Break Ups, and 3 interceptions (1 TD). He is a tremendous leader and was elected captain this season by his teammates. He is a positive role model for our team, and his attitude and actions make him a difference maker for the Eagle Football program.”

Those numbers and words line up with how Jones plays. With 81 tackles from the defensive backfield, including 57 solo stops and three tackles for loss, he has been heavily involved in both run support and pass coverage. His four pass breakups and three interceptions, one returned for a touchdown, show his ability to flip possessions and create momentum-changing plays. Just as important, being voted captain by his teammates underscores the respect he commands in the locker room. For Grain Valley, Brody Jones is more than a productive defender—he is a standard-setting leader whose example elevates the entire Eagle program.
