Ian Saunders – Stewartsville/Osborn
For the Stewartsville/Osborn Wildcards, junior guard Ian Saunders is already the centerpiece of the program. A two-year starter, he blends scoring, playmaking, and rebounding in a way that impacts every possession.
Head coach TC Noel highlighted that Saunders averaged 24 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game last season, has already surpassed 1,000 career points, and “will enter his junior season as a key contributor to our team,” noting that as team captain “he leads by example and plays a vital role in setting the tone for our program both on and off the court.”
Those numbers and that leadership profile explain why he landed on the preseason watchlist. With two more seasons to build his résumé, Saunders looks like one of the more complete guards in Missouri small-school basketball.
