Neosho’s Conner Reiboldt – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Uplink

For Neosho High School senior Conner Reiboldt, golf is more than a sport, it’s a steady escape and a test of mental strength. Unlike faster-paced games, golf demands patience, focus, and resilience, qualities Reiboldt has worked hard to develop throughout his high school career.

“I really just enjoy the game; it’s a good escape from everyday life.”

That enjoyment has fueled his dedication, even during the inevitable ups and downs that come with golf. Reiboldt understands that success isn’t always immediate, and growth often comes from pushing through difficult stretches.

“Whenever I’m in a slump I just have to keep my head up and push through because it is very satisfying to bounce back after a bad round.”

A big part of his development has come from studying some of the game’s best players. Reiboldt looks up to professionals like Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau, not just for their talent, but for their approach to the game.

“Some of my role models have been some of my favorite pro golfers, such as Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau. I have learned a lot about course management from them, which helps me play smarter.”

That focus on strategy has shaped how he approaches each round, balancing aggressive play with smart decision-making.

“I try to model my game after some of my favorite pros like Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau, they play very smart while also playing aggressively.”

Reiboldt also credits his coach for playing a key role in his growth, both technically and mentally.

“My coach has always been there for me on and off the course. He has helped me with my swing and my mindset. The biggest impact he has made to my golf game was making me play smarter and really think through what I’m doing.”

Behind the scenes, his family has been a constant source of encouragement.

“My family has been there for me whenever I need them ever since I started playing golf, they really are my biggest supporters.”

As he finishes his senior year, Reiboldt’s journey reflects a deep appreciation for the game, built on persistence, support, and a love for continual improvement.
