Letecia Howard – Plattsburg
Plattsburg is eager to have guard Letecia Howard back in uniform. Coming off an ACL tear, she returns with a résumé that already includes all-conference, all-district, and all-state honors early in her career.
Head coach Michael Howard explained that she was All-Conference and All-District as a freshman and sophomore and All-State as a sophomore, and that “for a small guard she puts up 16.4 points per game with 4.5 assist per game and rebounds very well averaging 6 a game.” He added that defensively she can guard positions 1–3, is “very aggressive on ball,” and “a menace with 6.5 steals a game,” and said they are “looking for her to come back even hungrier her senior year.”
That mix of scoring, playmaking, rebounding, and disruptive defense makes Howard one of the most complete small guards in the state. If she returns to form, her senior year has the potential to be one of the standout stories in Missouri girls’ basketball.
