Charlye Adams – Odessa High School
Opposing defenses barely have time to react before Charlye Adams is already past them. The Class of 2027 point guard at Odessa High School is coming off a breakout sophomore season in which she averaged 15 points per game, shot 49 percent from two and 37 percent from three, drilling 52 triples while racking up 75 steals. Her blend of speed, toughness and confidence makes her one of the most dynamic backcourt threats in Missouri heading into her junior year.
Head coach Jake Doyle has watched that growth up close and has no doubt about the standard Adams now sets for the Bulldogs. “Charlye is an explosive, lightning-fast point guard who has taken her game to another level after a strong summer and focused offseason,” Doyle said.
That extra gear shows up in every phase. Adams pressures the ball for 94 feet, turns live-ball turnovers into instant offense and forces opponents to adjust their game plans just to get the ball across half court. Offensively, her ability to stretch the floor with deep range opens driving lanes for herself and her teammates, and she rarely shies away from big moments late in games. With two full seasons still ahead of her, Adams has positioned herself as a player to watch not just in Odessa, but across the state, as she continues to evolve from promising underclassman into a complete floor general.
